Hello!
Even though our mask mandate has been lifted, the pandemic continues and has impacts on our community. That’s why I’m starting this newsletter to keep our community informed on all the programs offered to Orange County residents throughout this time.
This week, I’ll be highlighting housing assistance programs:
The State and County are offering financial assistance for housing payments
The NC Homeowner Assistance fund is accepting applications from NC Homeowners whose finances were impacted by the pandemic and who need assistance with housing-related expenses.
Please call 1-855-MY-NCHAF (1-855-696-2423) or visit NCHomeownerAssistance.gov
The Orange County Housing Department manages the Emergency Housing Assistance (EHA) Program that provides reimbursement for rent, mortgage, utility payments, security deposits, application fees, and other emergency housing-related expenses.
For landlords, Orange County is incentivizing landlords to provide affordable housing to families everywhere in our community. All landlords are welcome. Join a zoom meeting on March 16th at 11am to find out more information on incentives, the housing voucher program, and how to become a landlord in Orange County.

Please feel free to get into contact with me if you have any questions regarding any of these programs. I’m here to serve you.
In community,
Anna Richards, Orange County, Commissioner
